We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a team of award winning design consultants based in Newcastle
- Salary up to £46,000
- Office based in Newcastle – must be able to commute
- Working hours are 9am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday with flexible working available!

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- To lead the mechanical design of projects
- Using AutoCAD to produce designs to service key clients
- Creating sets of engineering drawings to correct tolerances and job specification
- Ability to complete plans in accordance to schedule
- Providing your input and advice to a small team of Engineers
- Fully comply with building service regulations
- Provide technical support on guidance for commissioning and installation

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:
- Experience using Design Software such as AutoCAD
- Good understanding of building services and regulations
- Experience working within an engineering environment
- Competent in using IT systems and tools
- Ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines
- Chartered engineering status would be advantageous
- Proficiency in IES, Hevacomp or NBS specification writing would be advantageous
